Press the “PUSH” position on both sides of the top cover firmly.2.Remove Upper Cover and Lower Covers 3.Put 4 AA batteries on the upper and lower side of the internal structure (make sure of the +/- direction)4.Put on the upper and lower covers and start working.

If you have a stack of mail to open like I do every day, this is the perfect gadget. You can run several envelopes through it and it just takes the tops off the edge. I have been using this for a couple of months and have not had to replace the batteries yet. Easy to open and put in the batteries, easy to use, sharp so be careful, love the color. Easy to hold in your hand, especially if you have any hand or carpal tunnel issues. This allows you to run through a lot of mail very fast. Highly recommend.

The electric mail opener is a handy tool to keep on your desk. Itās small and easy to store on a shelf or anywhere you need it. The only reason it is getting 4 stars is because, sometimes the mail can slip up and not get cut all the way. Works very well for the price though for sure.

I bought this as a holiday gift for my father – he has arthritis and holding a letter opener without stabbing himself had become challenging. This is perfect – he can grip it easily and it slices right through envelopes and small packages without leaving sharp edges. He uses it all the time ~ and I’ve found myself using it on more than one occasion as it does make opening mail so fast and simple.

Can’t fit in the batteries
I can’t fit in the batteries. It’s apparently a design or manufacture issue of battery area. It caused my 4 batteries damage and hurt my fingers. It seems a good product, but unfortunately the battery is very hard to fit in. I guess this is a design issue, designer probably didn’t consider the variety of different battery brands and use the smaller battery to fit check during development process.

I get a lot of mail, and this makes it so quick and easy to open the envelopes. Some may say this is the lazy way to open an envelope, and a waste of money.
