Amazing printer, poor shipping/packaging!
For anyone wondering why this printer has the warning that it is frequently returned, know that it has nothing to do with the printer itself ā it has to do with whatever logistics partners are handling the printer before it gets to the buyer. I am now on my third replacement because the first two printers arrived with damage to the exterior packaging, and when I open the boxes, I was greeted by broken plastic, misshapen metal, and a damaged printer. Once you get a good unit, the printer itself is fantastic. Ricoh really should do a better job packaging the units though, as I’m sure that this is the leading reason for return, and unnecessarily drives up their defect rate. JUST FIX THE PACKAGING; THEN IT’D BE A PERFECT PRINTER!

Good printer
So the print quality is great and it has a lot of handy functions. When I went to replace the ink cartridges, I couldn’t find them for less than 350. That isn’t cool. It seemed like an inexpensive printer but they rob you on the ink I wouldn’t recommend.

Ricoh…..Are You Ready for Change
…..Saw the printer on Amazon and bought it right away. I know the Ricoh product line for many years and trust it for it’s reliability and it’s dedication to our environment during the manufacturing.process of all it’s products. Didn’t know they are selling retail now. Bought the wrong accessary part which affected the setup, but those smart techs PFU hotline took care of that. Thanks PFU Co. for your fast response and assistance.

Horrible Recycling
I should update the title of my review to “No Recycling”. I checked their website before purchasing the C125 MF about recycling print cartridges. They have pages devoted to recycling. It looked as easy as entering the product information and printing out prepaid shipping labels. However, when I tried to recycle my 5 large cartridges, they wouldn’t take the “EDP code”. This means that they most likely don’t accept the cartridges for the C125 MF. And of course, it is impossible to actually talk to someone to verify.

Terrible AirPrint Support
Seems to be good quality on IPP protocol, but quality using AirPrint is extremely low DPI. They need to either stop advertising the printer as AirPrint compatible or issue an update.Build quality and image quality over IPP is very good

Setup is a Nightmare!
Iāve spent hours trying to connect this printer to my computer. User manual not well written. Online support is a pipe dream. Unable to reach anyone by phone. Most difficulty Iāve ever had setting up a printer. To be continued.

Heavy Metal Printer With Yesteryear Setup
This CF125 MF color printer was super heavy – 66 pounds. This has 4 separate cartridges for the black, and three colors. The output is very good but the wireless printing with my router very close was super slow. it took easily 3 minutes to do a 28 page document. I can live with slow as a sole proprietor. I do have a problem with the setup software. This thing was such a pain to add to my wireless network. I’ve added HP MF, Epson MF and Canon MF printers–all in the last year–and they were super easy to “find” and install in Windows–not this Ricoh. This is unacceptable in this day and age. It should default to an easy WiFi install and have any other install be the exception to allow experienced tech support handle those. This took me 2 hours and I’m very proficient with technology. No install videos, lousy support, no third party reviews (company controls this!). Felt like I was in a time warp installing this…
