Greatmachine, reasonable price!
Quiet compared to my previous shredder & a lot of other machines with the capability to shred staples & paperclips. Also the sound is the same no matter what you put in it. It having wheels & an easy pull out waste basket makes it easy to manuv & clean. The size is perfect for at home or work offices, it blends in well and is easy to conceal.

Efficient and sturdy
This was a replacement purchase after many years of using a similar Fellowes shredder. Bought it for home use. Does the job. Don’t find it noisy. Like the newer design in that I can see when it’s time to empty the shredder container. Also, really appreciate the “pullout” drawer instead of the old way of lifting the top off. Assembled quickly. Seems sturdy to me.

Good verstaile shredder for home or small office
When a relative died, we had a room full of stored receipts, invoices, medical and financial records, bank statements, etc; to dispose of. We thought of taking the whole lot and just trashing it, but we had a nagging feeling that it would still be wise to shred it.We bought this Fellowes Powershred 12C15, since the combination of price and features seemed best for our needs.We had two of us hand feeding small stacks of up to (roughly) 10~12 sheets each into the shredder slot, with no interruption to the feed of paper as we had multiple hands at the ready with more paper. We would feed these maximum thickness paper ‘stacks’ for about one hour before taking a break. So, the shredder was running at capacity for an hour, 100% duty cycle. We had a handful of stalls, but the machine never shut down due to overuse of high temperature, etc.Most of the paper had staples, some had paper clips, and the machine went through those like butter. It is also supposed to be able to shred optical media such as CD’s, DVDs and Blu Ray disks, we we did not try this.We were pleasantly surprised by the very low noise level of this shredder, even running at full capacity.After many hours of this heavy use, we had the task complete, and the machine showed no signed of wear or fatigue.Unlike many similar shredders, in which the user must light the shredder head off of the plastic bin (which holds the shreddings). on this model, the bin is actually a removable drawer which easily pulls out from the base of the unit for easy emptying. It is a good side to fit a standard kitchen garbage bag over it and up-end it so the shredding fall into the bag for disposal.This shredder assembly includes four swiveling casters which optionally snap into the bottom to allow it to, for example, be rolled under a desk or table when not in use.

Reliable and dependable brand.Ā I still have my Fellowes shredder that was purchased approximately 14 years ago, and it still works great with the exception of blades being dull after many years of use, so blades do not cut to full satisfactory as in past.Ā This is the only reason for purchasing this new shredder which is also a Fellowes.Ā I did consider other brands but decided to stick with the Fellowes shredders because it has been proven to me that this brand will endure and last. Fellowes shredders seem to be built to be tough against abusive use.Ā Ā This shredder is a valuable purchase for the money spent for it. The cost is far less than what was paid for my first Fellowes. However, it has good features as described.Ā Ā Works great, although I find it to be a little noise, not quiet as described.Ā Overall numerous positive reviews.Ā Worth buying at valuable price!!

Enormous improvement over previous models
The problem with just about all small personal home shredders is that you have to fit a very heavy motorized shredding top exactly over a flimsy bottom “box” that collects the paper shreds. If the tabs don’t perfectly fit for this match, the machine will not work. Well, this machine does the same, and I had a problem with this before I was able to fit the top on properly. The difference is that for the older models, you have to do this EVERY TIME you remove the bottom box that holds the paper shreds in order to dispose of the shreds. With this model, you need to do it JUST ONCE: when you setting up for the first time. The top remains on top because the paper shreds are collected in a pull-out sliding drawer for emptying. And because there is a double wall in the bottom (the outer box plus the inner sliding drawer), the whole bottom is much more stable for the top to fit on it. The larger and more expensive office model have always had this feature but insofar as I can tell, this is the first inexpensive small home model that works with the sliding inner collection drawer. It shreds well and is easily worth its modest price.

check the reverse function immediately
Whatever shredder you buy check that it has a reverse function. If not return it. When you get a paper jam a reverse switch will back it out. The internet assures me that all Fellowes shredders have a reverse switch but this one does not. The internet assures me that I can just lift the machinery off of the waste backet to get at the blades but this one does not work like that. A paper jam will take me hours to clear. I can’t just reverse it to remove the problem, I have to flip it upside down and clear it with needle nose pliers from the bottom and dig at it with another tool from the top. A second problem is the debris it leaves when you remove the wastebasket, both inside the unit and on the floor in front. Get out the vacuum! It may be a ringer – a product designed by the competition that looks like a Fellowes but is designed to totally frustrate the user. I can’t imagine anyone thinking it has value.

Tengo menos de un mes de usarla y no continua, sin embargo, conozco la marca y compre una igual pero mĆ”s pequeƱa hace muchos aƱos y nunca fallĆ³, por motivos de mudanza la regale y sigue funcionando. Por lo tanto, hasta el dĆa de hoy junio 3 2023, la nueva compra funciona muy bien sin problemas de jalar el papel ya sea pequeƱo o tamaƱo carta, los estados de cuenta bancaria *7 hojas* que l es mĆ”s gruesa, la jala y tritura perfectamente y a buen ritmo. La recomiendo para uso en casa, para mayor trĆ”fico de papel, recomendable una mĆ”s profesional. Si hubiera algĆŗn otro detalle que en futuro se originarĆ”, lo agregarĆ©. De momento la compra fue satisfactoria.

The first shredder I got did not work at all. I talked to a technician at Fellowes and he was very helpful. After some questions, he said , send it back. I did, and it was easy. Very few days later the replacement was delivered and it is great. Pretty quiet and shreds 10 pages at a time as advertised. And it looks nice!
