A1: Please check if the paper is damp, contains plastic is too thick, if so, please let the paper dry before shredding, or remove the plastic part, or reduce shredding sheets per pass.

A2:This product can run continuously for 5 minutes and then cool down for 40 minutes after use. Please let the shredder cool down for at least 40 minutes, otherwise it will not work properly or affect the product life.

Alright for the money…
This shredder, the Bonsai 8 piece…. is quite a bit flimsier than my last shredder. It feels just alright, the plastic is noticibly thinner and flexes more than I think it should. The edges are kind of sharp. It feels cheap. My last shredder was a Fellows, but those have become extremely overpriced for years now…I wish mine hadn’t burnt out!!It does do the job. It seems a little underpowered, and it chokes and slows down on only 3 pages at a time.I wonder how long it will last… I will keep it oiled up though, as I think that is what did my other one in! Lube it or lose it.

Solid little paper shredder.
Never owned a paper shredder before. I needed one to safely get rid of a bunch of sensitive documents I have at home.It’s compact, feels high quality, shreds paper just fine, makes some noise but it’s not loud at all. No complaints for the price.I know a paper shredder isn’t the most exiting purchase you can make, but it’s a nice investment in my opinion, and I’m really happy with it.Since it’s my first time buying a paper shredder I did research and found that you should oil the blades at least every other time the bin gets full of paper. You can buy sheets already oiled or get a little bottle of oil to apply directly to the blades or on a separate paper to then feed to the shredder. Don’t forget to maintain your shredder!

Very good paper shredder. Can’t shred much more than three sheets at a time, but it’s well built and will run all day. Excellent value.

6 Years of Service, But Far From Perfect
I purchased this shredder in 2019 and I am writing this review in August 2025āon the day it finally shredded its last piece of paper. While it technically lasted 6 years, it was never without issues and I had to put the shredder in the garbage bin today.From the beginning, it struggled with anything more than 2 sheets at a time. It would overheat quickly, forcing me to wait about 30 minutes before I could use it again. This cycle repeated often: shred a few pages, overheat, wait, repeat. It never operated at full capacity, and I always had to work around its limitations.That said, it did last longer than I expected, and for light use, it might be fine. But if you use a shredder daily (as I do) or several times a week, and youāre looking for something reliable and efficient, this model may not be the best fit for you.

Das GerƤt ist fĆ¼r den Preis super, fĆ¼r den normalen Hausgebrauch ist er vƶllig ausreichend. Er macht aus den Dokumenten sehr kleines Konfetti, das kann wirklich keiner mehr zusammen setzen. Der GerƤuschpegel ist zwar etwas hƶher als bei teureren GerƤten, aber was erwarten wir fĆ¼r den Preis, er lƤuft bei mir nicht im Dauerbetrieb, sondern nur wenn Post abgearbeitet ist und dann stƶrt das GerƤusch nicht.Was ein wenig stƶrt ist das stƤndige leuchten der LED, aber man kann ihn auch schnell ausschalten (Strom sparen). Der Aktenvernichter ist nicht mit dem BehƤlter fest verbunden, aber wer will den schon stƤndig hin und her tragen, bei mir steht er unter dem Schreibtisch und da bleibt er auch. Also kein Minuspunkt.FĆ¼r mich ein Preis-Leistungssieger.

Bonsai paper shredder. Works good, will shred up to 8 pages at once. I followed directions and it will shred for 4 minutes then i gave it a break for a few minutes. It got the job done.

Great home and office machine quiet and work great! Did a pile of shredding like 3 big bags full 3-4 sheets at a time never heated up or quit I did give it rests.Highly recommend this shredder and bigger basket.
