This was well worth the money, time, and effort that went into putting it together. I wanted to setup a sewing area but only had a corner of free space available. This folding desk fits neatly, is sturdy enough to sew and do crafts on, and when folded away takes up very little space. I barely know it’s there when I’m not using it. I didn’t have any trouble putting it together by myself, although it did take more than an hour. There were no missing, broken or damaged parts. Some have suggested this is best for children; I’m a 5’4″, plus sized adult and this fits my needs well.

Wow!!!!! This Murphy Desk is PERFECT for my 8 yr old. I was skeptical based on some of these reviews, but my desk arrived early and perfectly. I think the company maybe invested in a better shipping company because my desk (shipping box) arrived flawlessly. I understand when people say their packages arrived damaged because thatās happened to me too.Anyhow, the instructions were super clear. It was easy to put together. Thereās only really one time when extra hands help and itās towards the end when youāre attaching the desk portion together. Brotip: when assembling the hinges, try walking thru the mechanics of the desk how it opens and closes to ensure the hinges are being installed correctly. Even though the hinges have 3 holes in a specific pattern to ensure your fastening them a correct direction, there is a chance you can instal them inverted because these hinges open both directions but one direction they open further. So be mindful of that and youāre all good.10/10 rating from me. Just ordered a second one immediately and then posted this review.

LOVE this desk, but..
I adore the setup and functionality of this desk. Itās nice for small spaces and itās very nice for storage. Although, mine arrived with scratched on the desk part itself. Other than that everything was perfect. It is on the lighter side, weight wise. Itās an amazing desk and I think it was worth every penny. No parts were missing. Itās also very sturdy.

Nice For Sewing/Quilting Spaces!
I chose this piece to add an ironing station creating an L shaped desk arrangement, to a small sewing/quilting space I have in our beach villa. Space is at a premium and the measurements fit the bill perfectly, plus it’s a bonus that I can fold it up when not needed. It’s not very tall, so check the measurements. While it’s not high end furniture by any stretch, it’s well worth the price if it is what you need.I put this together myself. It took me about an hour and a half. All parts were provided plus extras and instructions were easy to understand.Tips: I recommend you separate all the pieces, which are clearly labeled, and preview the instructions. As you assemble, lay the pieces out in the same direction matching the pictures and it’ll be easy. Rather than drill, I chose to hand turn all but the longest screws because I know that this type of material can chip easily. If you do use a drill, adjust your torque down to like 8 to avoid chips. For the cam locks, use a flat head screw driver to get them nice & tight. When I install hinged I don’t fully tighten all screws until I get them all lined up and part way tightened so I can adjust if needed.I plan to cover the chalkboard section in either cork or pretty fabric to match my aesthetic. I definitely recommend this piece for small space convenience. I hope it works for you too š

Takes awhile to set up but instructions are clear and easy to read. Product was as expected- good for small spaces. Pretty sturdy when wall mounted- wouldnāt recommend if you donāt want to mount it due to the āMurphyā functionality.

OVER PRICED
It is a great idea but EXTREMELY SMALL!! Made for children. Definately NOT worth the price! Screws need to be improved because they are very small and when tightened they just keep turning like they do not have a real grip into the material. Chalk board frame is slightly bowed like warped.Excellent packaging! No scratches or chips of any kind.

Poor quality expensive price poor support
Received missing part and wrong part. Contacted Amazon support and seller. None was helpfull. I drilled on my own way but not really strong enough I literally using it as it is now and it cost me $177… thats ridiculous. I asked refund and return they said ok but nothing has been done or no issued at the account. I dont have time to unassemblying and bring the UPS. Don’t buy this product I dont recommend. Pricey for this waste..

The fold out computer bookshelf desk was super easy to out together. A much better construction than the same brand in another furniture piece from them that I wasn’t too impressed with.There were a few minor scratches in the white paint that I wasn’t too pleased with, but they were liveable.The reason I took a star off was because the latch to keep the door closed (the one with the chalkboard) doesn’t line up properly. Maybe i got a dud, but the holes for the bottom screws should have been drilled just a little bit higher. It would have fit perfectly then.I solved my problem by buying some cheap $5 child safety latches on Amazon. The kind that go 90 degrees or straight, they come in white, and are circles and can be turned simply to open. So my 9 year old daughter can easily open to use her desk. The latch honestly fits perfectly in the space.I was thinking of actually sprucing it up further by getting cheap stick on wallpaper to cover the main desk top to make it more colourful. Because my daughter is afraid to colour on the desk because its white lol
