Exceptional resource for paper craft; a bible of all things paper
The heart of this delightful book is the multiple projects with clear instructions involving folding, cutting, weaving, and other techniques, all explained in simple, clear terms with photos and templates. But the book is also a bible of all things paper; its history; how it is made; the different types, etc. There is a chapter on paper making and surface treatments, but that chapter is more of an introduction to the topic, without actual instructions on how to make or decorate paper. I have the paperback version, and would recommend getting this version.

Beautiful paper craft projects
This book is beautifully done with many types of paper craft projects. Iāve greatly admired Helenās paper weavings and would definitely consider taking her Weave Through Winter online class. Being primarily interested in learning more about paper weaving, I was disappointed to find only one paper weaving project in the book.

So many great projects!
This is an amazing book. So many projects that can be made with just paper! BUT they also could be made with fabric, felt, cork, so many possibilities!

Great Book for Papercraft Ideas
This is a very detailed book about all things papercraft.Ā You will learn a lot about the history of paper crafting as well as the tools needed to make your own paper crafts.Ā As a newbie card maker, I did enjoy this section of the book and came up with some ideas for cards.Ā I also gleanedĀ some tips on how to do things more efficiently.Ā There is also another section on actual paper crafts.Ā And this section is huge.Ā With LOTS of projects with step by step instructions on how to do this yourself.Ā This part was not as interestingĀ to me as the other section on the history and tools of the trade.Ā However, there were also some ideas in there I will likely incorporate some way into my cards.Ā I especiallyĀ loved the project on including seeds in your homemade paper.Ā I also enjoyed learning about the actual artists that were featured in the book.Ā Such talented people.Ā Ā All in all, this would be an enjoyable book for anyone looking for some ideas about working with paper.Ā And also a great read for people who are just interested in art and art history in general…even if you don’t ever intend to make any papercrafts/art.

Interesting paper projects
This is a beautiful books with lots of interesting paper projects. Some are simple to do and others a bit more complicated. Definitely not for a young child without assistance. Perhaps not even for an adult who is not determined!Step by step instructions are given with diagrams and/or pictures. Some of them could be clearer and more detailed perhaps because I found that I couldn’t make the sailboat envelope even on my second try. With perseverance and determination, I’m sure I will get it sooner or later!Other designs I cannot wait to try out are the one-sheet books, the pop-up alphabets and the mini tunnel book. I loved the section on fasterners and connections.I liked that artists who designed the projects are featured. And I enjoyed looking at all the supplies needed. I didn’t know konnyaku which I know as a food can also be used in paper crafts. I will have to look that up as I think I have some in my pantry! All in all, a very interesting and worthwhile book for people who love paper crafts. This is my honest opinion based on the review copy I received from the publisher.
