Excellent & fun Kit
This is an excellent kit & lots of fun to use. As the Item title states – it is made to be used to screen print with a stencil that you’ve cut out using a craft cutting machine. There are general instructions as well as a design you can get from Pigskins&Pigtails website. There is a lot of information there. If your screen gets loose, you can buy a screen tool to tighten it, which is the same as used for window screen tracks. Photos are the first 3 projects I tried. They all turned out great with crisp details. The 2 color turtle design worked great, so I’m looking forward to trying more ideas. You do need to wash & let the screens dry so the vinyl stencils will stick. Get a color wheel to experiment with color mixing. The two color turtle was an experiment with just lightening the main color to test it. It dried true to the wet paint color. This is a great kit with everything you need to get started screen printing. The fabric ink has a soft feel compared to HTV and is permanent after properly heat curing. I’m glad I bought this to try.

Amazing Screen-Printing starter kit without the messy emulsion process!
I’ve reviewing “Speedball Deluxe Screen Printing Craft Vinyl Kit – Use with Cutting Machine to Print T-Shirts and Home DĆ©cor” which I received via the VINE program.I am an AVID crafter/sewist/quilter and have been looking at learning screen printing since I got my Cricut several years ago. When this item showed up on VINE, I didn’t hesitate to get it!Speedball is a very reputable brand for screen printing and I was NOT disappointed when I opened up the package. There were 4 different ink colors, white, yellow, blue and red. With that combination, many different shades of ink can be reproduced with this one kit. It also included plastic cups with lids to hold the peach and mint colored ink it has you make using the design in the instructions. It includes the hard plastic scraper to ensure that the vinyl is adhered to the screens, and the rubber squeegee used to apply the ink. It also includes several wooden stirring sticks and a couple of 30 ml syringes to measure the ink to create the colors. Lastly, there are some sheets of vinyl, transfer tape to create the design & parchment paper to place between the layers of the item being screen printing and the all-important two 10×14 inch screens. These are great quality screens and frames they include in the kit. I’ll note that the frames could be potentially reused if the screens needed to be replaced for whatever reason. The spline is sold by Speedball as well.I won’t make any references to the use of the kit as that is so VERY subjective and dependent on so many factors TOTALLY out of the control of Speedball. I’m a pretty experienced crafter and I’m even a little intimidated by screen printing. Creating the design and cutting it out in vinyl I can do with my eyes closed, but the process of screen printing, ensuring that the design is lined up properly and lines up with the registration lines of the prior screen, with a two-color design, is not super easy for beginners. I’ll be practicing on muslin and canvas fabric before committing to anything that I’d wear out in public or give as a gift. Just know that as with any type of creative process, it’s going to take some practice.Having said that, I’m super pleased with the quality of this kit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others looking to getting into screen printing!

Nice kit
The kit is really nice. The wooden squeegee isn’t that great. The plastic one is better. The so-called Ink mixing guide has 4 colors. Not really helpful. They shouldn’t have bothered with it.

Bad screen in kit
I was disappointed that one of my screens is loose and canāt be used. Being new at screen printing Iām unsure how to tighten it up like it should be. I didnāt realize how tight it was supposed to be until i got out the second one to use. Second screen and i got perfect results. First shirt disaster is understandable now.

Speedball nailed it
Once again, Speedball has created an amazing kit with everything that you’ll need to get started with screen printing. Using the materials provided in this kit, alongside my Silhouette Cameo 3 (and my iPad to make the designs), I’ve started to create my very own t-shirts and I couldn’t be happier. There’s definitely a learning curve (hence why I decided not to post my results) but I am slowly beginning to get the hang of this hobby. I would highly recommend watching some YouTube videos, Speedball’s videos are nice but there are some way more informative videos that use this kit and really help you when you’re starting out.I’d say that this is one of the best things you can buy when you want to try out screen printing. Possibly not the best value, but you don’t want to invest in full sized products when you’re first starting out.
