Great for a class
I like this calligraphy pen for what I need it. I’ll be teaching a calligraphy class to about 20 people and it’s the prefect size to see the wide and narrow parts of each letter.

Best calligraphy marker on the market!
I’ve been using these markers for decades and they never fail to stand up to wear. The colors are vibrant and the chisel-edges are firm. Most other calligraphy marker edges turn to mush quickly–especially in the hands of beginning students. I used to teach beginning calligraphers using pointed pen and ink, but quickly realized that using a Zig marker took the stress out of having to deal with the complexities of working in pen and ink while also learning how to form calligraphic letterforms. Kuretake Zig markers are exceptional in that they hold their edges and their colors last a long time if the caps are put on properly when not in use. I highly recommend these markers for newbies and for experienced calligraphers who simply want to make out an envelope or small piece of art to share with a friend. Great for practice and layout of professional work, too.

Did not work.
Purchased a set of three Black ZIG Calligraphy markers. The fine points were dried up in all three, and the broad point worked in two. Will not return as it is too much hassle. Will find a local source to purchase similar item. I’ve always enjoyed the ZIG brand. Very disappointing.
