Customers say
Customers find the fabric paint easy to use, particularly for beginners, and appreciate its effectiveness, with one customer noting it works well on linen tablecloths. The paint dries quickly and washes up nicely, and customers consider it a nice starter set. The color quality and stickiness receive mixed feedback – while some find the colors rich and the paint stays well on fabrics, others report dull colors and a glue-like consistency. The coverage and durability also get mixed reviews, with some saying it works well on t-shirts while others note it doesn’t cover dark materials, and while some say it holds up well after washing, others report fading in the wash.

Trusted brand, worked well.
I had a tee shirt with screen printing in the shape of a shabby chic heart shaped flag image. Two of the stripes stuck together and part of the image pulled off when I pulled them apart. I bought this fabric paint set to fix a red and a white stripe. The white covered really well, the red didn’t quite match so I mixed a little orange and red together. The red did not cover as well, but I will put a second coat on when it dries. I have used lots of Folk Arts paints and trust this brand. I only needed a little bit of two colors so this set was best for me and worked well.

Worked fantastic for me!
I used this product for creating my costume, which was a lot of shading. I specifically chose this product because it was acrylic-based.Yes, it is a little bit gloopy out of the tube, but for designs on tshirts I don’t see any issues with this, just gotta be careful.Super easy to water down, and cheap, because you don’t need some expensive paint thinner or medium. It spreads like a dream, and I could even use a makeup sponge as an impromptu brush with no issues! In fact, I preferred it, because there were no “strings” of paint coming off like other reviewers using brushes mentioned!I did use some of this paint on latex, not just fabric, and it dried fully without needing to follow the curing instructions. However, because of the nature of latex (it not being fully breathable and super smooth) a rough touch could peel it off the latex. The fabric did not have this issue as it actually seeped into the fibers. The colors were super vibrant, and even watered down, still held up. I did have to use 2-3 layers on the latex, again, because of how smooth it is, and I could see issues painting darker fabrics. You definitely still could, just with a lot of layers.

Perfect for the project
I painted a T-shirt for my aunt for Christmas with these paints, and was thrilled with the performance — color goes on easy and thick, easy cleanup, color remains true even when dry. You should understand that if you want colors to pop on a dark fabric, you need to first paint the shape with white, then the color over top once white has dried. You won’t be disappointed with this set!

Perfect
My daughter used these to paint on jeans for her senior year. These are great colors and worked perfectly. Highly recommend this fabric paint.

Paint is great but……..
The rating isn’t for the paint, the paint is great, consistency is perfect, no need to thin, nothing to add. The rating is for the information missing from the listing. I spent several hours looking for fabric paint that didn’t need to be heat set because I was working with fleece and that can scorch very easily if you aren’t careful. Thought I’d hit the jackpot when I found this set.Get the paint, read over the instructions, low and behold, must heat set. As tempted as I was to give one star, the paint itself is great, but the seller needs to fix their listing.

A good value!
My son needed a shirt with a 100 things on it for the 100th day of school, and I didn’t want to spend a ton of time gluing crap on a shirt I opted to try this paint and make him a shirt that he could wear and still be able to play in.The set arrived neatly packaged, no leaking bottles, no mess. The lids were shrink wrapped. I used scissors to remove that since there was no perforation for easy opening.I used a fine and medium tip paint brushes to paint the shirts and the paint went on easily. A little bit went a long ways for me. After doing 2 shirts I have 3/4 a bottle left of the colors I used the most of, so the paint is a good value. I did only one application, but I was using plain white tee shirts. The directions are to wash your garment before painting, paint, then heat set the paint with an iron using a pressing cloth (I used a thin dish towel) after it dries. Not too difficult.I did get some paint on myself and it did wash off easily with soap & water.Overall I would use this paint again, my son’s shirts turned out great & it was fun to do.

one of the paints was leaking, and some come with a top plastic cover while others don’t. they smell a bit too strong but they’re thick and good enough to work withI haven’t tried washing it to see how water resistant it is

Not as smooth as use to. The consistency is too dense and I am not happy with the adhesion to the fabric.
