Customers say
Customers find the clay works well in the kiln and is great to work with on the wheel. However, the quality receives mixed feedback, with some describing it as excellent while others find it hard to work with. Moreover, the clay dries out quickly and is severely dry, making it difficult to use. Additionally, customers disagree on the value for money, with some finding it good while others consider it pricey. The crack resistance is also problematic, with customers reporting that it cracks easily.

Impressed
I’m no professional ceramist, but my throwing chops are steadily improving. My go-to clay has been Laguna BMix; which was recommended to me and I think is incredibly good for hand-building, slab work, etc. However, my assumptions were confirmed that it seems abnormally difficult to use on the wheel now that I’ve used this Deouss clay. Granted, I’ve only been able to throw 2.5 lbs once… But it was so much easier to use that it wasn’t a wishful, hopeful mind-trick that I played on myself– it was just that obvious that this is a better clay to throw. Centering, coning, pulling, and forming happened faster, easier, and I ended up with a decent angular vase that I will end up trimming, firing, and glazing. Oh, I also lost less clay in the process. And just as notable, I needed literally a fraction of the water compared to the BMix.After reading a few comments before I made my purchase, it has to be said that my 5 lbs. showed up DOUBLE-wrapped. The clay was nowhere close to being overly dry out of the box. I am most definitely buying more sooner than later.

For your potter
Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter so she could have some clay to throw at home. It seems to be good quality, clean and not overly wet or dry, just right. The key point is to get the right ‘cone’ material (whatever that means) so when fired it cures properly. Will buy again.Note: Amazon is asking if this a good “toy”… I don’t think pottery clay is a toy.

Excellent Clay. Very Well Packed!
This is just what the artist ordered!Perfectly-packed clay double-wrapped and then boxed, to arrive in pristine usable form. And what’s not immediately being used can easily be reliably resealed for a later project.EXCELLENT clay; molds well, clings and lets go just as good clay will.PERFECT!

Third time buying and it seems I to me
I’m giving this 4 stars because I’m very new to pottery. It is a bit stiff but I was about to throw it in the wheel. I haven’t fired it yet.

Just ok and a bit too dry
Too dry. Used for the ceramic jewelry workshop. Ended up being cream color, which I liked, but was a bit hard to work with. The texture is fine tho. Needs more water to work with. Finished product is durable.

š¤¬HORRIBLE šš»
Just not a good clay. Cracks very easily right out of the bag. Itās pain to throw with. Its consistency is okay if you have the patience to sponge out all the cracks every time you move the clay even just a millimeter. Maybe it would be good for little kids but if youāre planning on using it to sculpt I would consider another brand. Iām giving it 2 stars because Iām still able to use it for small dishes but once Iām done with this bag I will not be buying it again. Ew.Update: This Crap is the worst clay Iāve ever seen. You canāt work with it at all. I tired and itās just cracking apart. Donāt waste your money or time trying to work with this stuff!!! Iām throwing it away. The cracks are on ever single piece Iāve tried to make. (I slow dried them for 3 days!!!)š”š¤¬

Exactly the clay I needed to make tiny little wangs out of. Whimsical wangs are in full swing. You can cook the clay in the oven
