To ensure the best possible photo quality, make sure to properly insert the photo paper into the camera. Always load the blue Quality Card from the same pack of photo paper that is in the camera. The blue card should be inserted into the paper tray with the barcode facing down. If you use a blue card from other packs of paper, you might not get the best results.
The quality of the photos can also depend on the lighting conditions where the picture was taken. This can affect the saturation of the image after it gets printed.
If you are experiencing a paper jam, make sure to turn the camera off and on again. This should eject the paper out. Do not pull out the paper by hand.
Make sure not to cover the printing slot with your hand when the photo is printing.

defective, glitchy, and low quality ā not worth it
Initial Hardware IssuesThe first unit I received was defective and wouldnāt turn on despite multiple attempts and troubleshooting. The replacement unit did eventually power on, but only after some effort (charging it and pressing the power button ~30 times). Unfortunately, even when functional, the camera is riddled with issues.Software, Camera, and Print QualityThe software is slow and buggy, the camera quality is poor, and the print quality is even worse. I encountered frequent errors, including compatibility issues with standard 2×3 Zink āZero Inkā paper (which is what Kodak says this model uses). For example, when I accidentally ordered 2×3 Zink paper that happened to be āCanon Ivyā branded, the Kodak camera refused to print, even though the Zink 2×3 paper itself was identical to the sample pack that came with the Kodak camera. Replacing the āCanon Ivyā calibration sheet with the Kodak-branded one from the sample pack fixed the issueāsame exact 2×3 Zink paper, different calibration sheet.Phone Connectivity and Print BehaviorI appreciate that the camera can connect to a phone and print phone photos, but the results are extremely low quality. It also randomly shrinks images when printing, leaving large white margins, despite the image appearing correct in the print preview. I tried adjusting the source imageās aspect ratio to 2×3, but it didnāt help.Connectivity ProblemsConnectivity is another headache. The camera frequently disconnects from the phone, and printing often fails with āupload failedā messages, or hangs indefinitely with no output, even when everything appears to be in order.Battery Life and Troubleshooting SupportBattery life is short, the experience is frustrating, and the included troubleshooting video is for an entirely different model with different buttons and features: completely unhelpful.Overall RecommendationThis product has potential with its built-in printer and phone connectivity, but the execution is deeply flawed. I would recommend maybe skipping this camera and getting a standalone Zink printer instead. I havenāt tried it myself, but it might offer better results without the frustration of clunky software and unreliable performance.Suitability for ChildrenPerhaps itās best suited for young children. But even they may lose patience with how often it fails to work properly. Disappointing overall.Comparison to Instax Mini 7+My other instant camera is an Instax Mini 7+ and although it has no computer chip, screen, or software, the image quality is far better and the turnaround time is much faster. Obviously the downfall is you canāt view and approve photos before they print.Paper ComparisonAlso, I like the thinness and adhesion of the Kodak Step Touchās Zink paper. To compare, the Instax uses a thicker, older style of paper with the white frame. Good vintage look, but it lays thicker in scrapbooks/journal pages. And itās not adhesive.

Great camera gift for children who love to take pictures and print them out. The picture quality is decent. It is not the best picture quality but you get what you pay for. Pictures can be slightly blurring when you print them but we expected that considering the MP. This does its job and is fun for children (and adults). You can also choose which photos to print so every picture taken doesnāt automatically print out which was a great feature. The screen is a great size. Overall we are very happy with this purchase.

The camera is easy to use and has a great feel to it. You can add frames and stickers onto a picture prior to taking it. You can also add these on photos in your app and then print from your phone. There isn’t much stickers and frames to choose from and I hope they add more, or allow you to upload some. Print outs vary, depending on the quality of the picture. Some come out really good, others not so much. You also don’t need to print every picture you take and can pick and choose as you feel fit. I’m very happy with the camera and would recommend it. It makes for a good time.

āØGreat Camera Until the Battery Issue
I purchased the Kodak Step Touch and initially, I was thrilled with its performance. The camera is compact, easy to use, and takes decent photos for casual use. The touchscreen interface is intuitive, and the instant printing feature was a fun addition for capturing memories on the go. For the price, it felt like a solid deal, and I enjoyed using it at family gatherings and outings.However, my experience took a turn for the worse when the battery completely drained to zero. After that, the camera refused to charge or turn on, essentially becoming a paperweight. I tried different cables, outlets, and even let it sit for a while, but nothing worked. Itās incredibly frustrating to have a device die so suddenly, especially since I hadnāt mishandled it or exposed it to any damage.Iām disappointed because I really liked the camera while it worked, but this battery issue is a dealbreaker. If youāre considering this camera, Iād recommend keeping the battery topped up and never letting it fully drain. Unfortunately, I canāt rely on a device that fails like this, so Iām hesitant to recommend it unless Kodak addresses this issue. Iām hoping customer service can offer a solution, but for now, Iām left with a non-functional camera.

What i was expecting and more..
I was doing lots of research on different cameras that could print photos on the spot and I came across this product. I’ve had this for 3 days and already I am happy I chose this! Not only does it print pictures of your choosing, you can edit your pictures on camera or through an app you can download. This being digital touch screen is a plus for me and so easy to use, I am very happy with my purchase š š

Sorry about the bad review, but this product is way to expensive for the results, the quality of the pictures print, nothing as I expectedā¦ really disappointed, this product do what it says, but the pictures looks like taking with a Moto V3 on 2005ā¦ If I could I would return it, but It turns out my shipping was from Outside the US so I canāt.

āI previously had a Polaroid camera, and as it aged, I decided to upgrade to this Kodak model for its touch screen and Bluetooth features. While these additions are convenient, the camera itself feels quite plastic and flimsy, making me worried about accidentally dropping and breaking it. The photo quality is decent, and the prints are okay, but nothing exceptional. Overall, itās a fun gadget, best suited as a gift for young adults rather than serious photography.ā

It looks great and for the first month works well, but we’re on the second replacement camera and even that has broken. Super disappointing buy and our daughter is upset that it has broken again. Kodak warranty is useless as well. Just avoid it.
