This is the real deal — an excellent product. Built like a tank. I had a strange application that required a non-standard 3-hole punch in 4×6 heavy card stock. Set up (ruler and screwdriver) took just a few minutes (measure carefully!), and I was up and punching. Every punch perfect, and I finished in no time. With today’s shoddy goods, that doesn’t often happen. This machine is the opposite of shoddy — why can’t everything be built this way? Careful — it is NOT infinitely adjustable: the center punch has 1 inch of travel, and the other two (top and bottom) have 3 inches each. Think of top/bottom travel as centered around the standard 3-hole positions for 8.5×11 inch paper (in other words, 1.5 inches each way), while the center travel is in one direction only (1 inch towards the top — or the bottom, it’s all symmetric of course) from the standard position. This should be enough for any real-world application, even non-symmetric spacing, and it was for mine. But it can’t, in one operation, punch 3 holes right next to each other, for example. Nonetheless, this is a quality piece of equipment. I will use it a lot.

I have shopped extensively for a punch like this for quite some time and finally decided on …
Well built. And, unlike so many other, actually FULLY adjustable at any spacing increments you want. Yes, the punches have machine oil on them from the manufacturing process; but to see others complain about such trivialities only serves to expose their lack of understanding of manufacturing metal punch systems and protecting them from rust while the product sits in boxes, often for months at a time. Simply take some scrap pieces of paper and do multiple punches first to remove the excess machine oil; “problem” solved. As for me, I would much prefer the “excess” machine oil upon receipt instead of rusty cutter heads. I have shopped extensively for a punch like this for quite some time and finally decided on this model; I am very happy and satisfied with this purchase. No, this punch will not cut through 50+ pieces of paper; if you want that sort of capacity, look for a commercial unit that will cost 10-20 times more. If you want a VERY well made intermediate capacity punch that will last you a long, long time, don’t hesitate to purchase this unit. Then do the “pre-punch” noted above with some scrap paper and you will never look back. I rarely take the time to post reviews, but this 3-hole fully adjustable punch is worth every penny. And let’s face it; when you purchase this from amazon.com, the satisfaction guarantee is quite simply second to none.

What a fabulous punch for the money. It has worked flawlessly since we got it and is built like a tank to last for a very long time. Does a wack of sheets at once, effortlessly. This is not a lightweight pice of stamped crap. We love it. Definitely recommended.

Solid, metal, configurable āĀ I bought two to create a single six-hole punch (with spare parts left over.) Doesn’t have precise tolerances, but does it really need them? Works fine as is. Only issue is that the sliding rule doesn’t have detents for 6-hole punching.
