They do last the school year!
This binder states that it is guaranteed to last the school year and having used 4 of these with my now teenage son, I can attest that it does. This is a highly durable, well-made binder and I won’t buy any other. My teenage son uses this as a briefcase of sorts because all his work for all subjects is kept in here. He uses the carry handle and takes it from class to class. The left side has an accordion file of about 5 pockets (see picture below), and on the 3 rings he places his 3 hole poly folders and pencil case. He uses every inch of this binder.The first part to consistently wear out in each of these binders is the inner mesh see-through pocket because it is constantly rubbing against the middle metal ring (see picture below). But even that is not too much of a problem because it happens very slowly over time, and the slight hole it wears through is not large enough to lose anything from the mesh pocket. On his most recent binder, the material where the zipper attached to the binder started to pull away by the end of the year, but that is ONLY because he packed this binder so full it strained the zipper. The zippers on all 4 that he has used heavily have NEVER broken or snagged, the handles never broke, and the outside never ripped or wore away…but boy did it get dirty :).

Perfect for school
We purchased this trapper for our son in middle school and he has really enjoyed using it! The trapper itself is easy to open, zipper does not seem to get snagged or caught on anything. The handle is pretty durable making it easy to carry. This trapper has plenty of storage for pencils and also has space with individual folders for his school work. He really like the color.

This binder is durable and has a lot of fun features. The reason why we purchased this binder was for the storage and functionality, this binder has dividers, a separate compartment for storing important papers, a place for pens/pencils and other items. This binder is extremely easy to set up and use and for the price itās a steal. This eliminates the need for a ton of other items that add to bulk and weight of the backpack and when you have an AP child, then you understand everything helps. My niece has AP classes, on top of her regular classes and she constantly complains about the weight of her backpack and all the notebooks, textbooksā¦etc. My niece is over joyed with this binder and the convenience it offers.

Nice well made trapper keeper
Got this for my Grandson for school this year.I thought this will work out well to keep all his subjects in one place instead of having to carry four 2 inch binders in his bookbag.This trapper keeper seems very well made and has a place to hold their pencils, markers, etc. Seems to be plenty of room inside to keep 3 ring folders and probably can fit his school iPad in it too.I had to purchase the 3 ring folders to put in it separately but you can purchase them cheap.He needed four of the 3 ring folders and even after placing those inside there is still plenty of room.So hopefully this helps him keep all his subjects and papers organized instead of willy nilly shoved in his bookbag.

exactly what my 6th grader needed for middle school to get and stay organized! the extra pockets were great! fits easy in his backpack and his locker, itās light and the handle makes it so easy to carry around! also probably the cheapest iāve seen is here!

Already falling apart
2 weeks into school and the mesh for the pencil case is already coming apart. I bought 5 star because when I was in school it was the premiere binder to have. The quality of this product is terrible.

I cannot speak to durability yet, I haven’t had it long enough. But I like the design and features: pockets that can be accessed from in/outside which are suitable for holding 4 – 6 small paperback books/booklets or similarly sized items; a pocket for a phone or calculator or some pens and pencils, and room for a fair bit of paper in addition to the mentioned items.I do not care for the plastic zippers; while they may last forever with gentle use, I did discover that one of my zippers had one tooth jammed with another, causing a kink in the zipper which will be the failure point sometime down the road. And the handle should be placed on the opening side of the binder, not the hinge side, so that when the main zipper fails, everything doesn’t fall out on the floor.My binder won’t be seeing a lot of abuse as it’s going to be used mostly at home on my desk; I got it more as a portable place to keep related printed materials and booklets, rather than because I wanted a binder. I expect it will serve the intended purpose for a long time.
